Daniel Hotel Herzliya: A Legacy of Planning and Execution
Upgrading an active hotel on the coastline requires a high level of planning without compromise. The Daniel Hotel presents complex environmental challenges – salt, humidity, and temperature fluctuations – which require a precise technical solution for every space, alongside the creation of a uniform design language in the lobby, guest rooms, and spa. The goal was to create a space that radiates comfort and luxury, while in practice, being prepared for intensive daily cleaning and non-stop guest traffic.
What were the challenges?

Coastal environment: Salt and humidity are the great enemies of materials. We required wall and floor coverings with particularly low water absorption (below 0.5%) to prevent corrosion and premature wear.

Safety (slip resistance coefficients): Precise division of areas according to wetness levels: R10 for corridors and rooms, R11 for spas and showers, and R12 for intensely wet areas near the pool.

Long-term maintenance: Using large formats to reduce the number of joints (grout lines), which facilitates cleaning and prevents dirt accumulation.

Sanitary durability: Equipment that needs to withstand thousands of usage cycles per month without wearing out or going out of adjustment.
The solutions we chose:

Lobby and corridors: Large-format porcelain, in light and warm tones, which integrate with the natural light of the sea. We used a matte finish to prevent glaring reflections from the afternoon sun.

Bathrooms: Wall-hung toilets, sinks, and faucets with hotel-grade standards, combining a clean look with high durability over the years.

Spa and pool: Tiles with a high slip-resistance rating, providing walking safety and precisely adjusted to existing drainage slopes.
The result in the space The guest arriving at the hotel receives an experience of quiet and comfort. In the bathrooms, the functionality is adapted to life on the coastline – high durability alongside user comfort for the whole family.
